Awards for Excellence

Every year we put forward our customers and their projects for local, regional and national awards. We do this because we believe in quality work and we want to see it recognised. You can be a part of this.

LABC's Building Excellence Awards are all about the essence of good buildings. Our finalists are not judged on architectural beauty, but on the "Excellence" shown from a construction and technical Building Control point of view. Our awards showcase buildings and design teams that have had to tussle with technical issues, difficult sites, innovative and creative solutions.

Categories include: domestic work, self-build, low volume new homes, high volume new homes, best sustainable project, conversion and change of use, small scale commercial, large commercial, best public building and best partnership.

    Surrey Heath Building Control Nominated the following:

    Best Site Manager Highly Commended: Mark Davenport, Davenports Construction Ltd.

    Best Quality Workmanship - Best Builder Highly Commended: KG Brickwork (Kenny Collins)

    Best Quality Workmanship - Best Architect Highly Commended: Helen Nightingale, HEN Designs

  • 2018 - LABC South East Building Excellence Award

    We are proud to have won the 2018 South East Building Excellence Award for the its partnership working with a local designer Andy Ward from Award Design

  • 2016 - LABC South East Building Excellence Awards

    We are proud to have won the 2016 South East Building Excellence Award for the “Best inclusive building"

    This building was Portesbery School, Newfoundland Road Deepcut, Camberley

  • 2015 - LABC South East Building Excellence Award

    We are proud to have won the 2015 South East Building Excellence Award for the “Best Individual New Dwelling”.

    The contractor for the project was Parnell Contractors Ltd, Rectory Farm, Broadway Road, Lightwater. Tel: 01276 451400.

  • 2012 - LABC South East Building Excellence Award

    Three of our local building projects beat off competition from 40 local councils to become finalists at the LABC South East Building Excellence Awards.

    Surrey Heath's building control team won a Highly Commended award for its partnership working with a local architect; Stedman Blower.
